FSP Fortron MP7-WA

FSP Fortron MP7-WA
The FSP Fortron MP7-WA processor cooler is an air cooling solution for dissipating heat from processors in gaming and professional builds. Its core consists of a copper contact plate and a dual-tower design with dense aluminium finning, through which six heatpipes pass. A pair of fans provides active airflow. Automatic PWM control manages their speed in the range of 800 to 1800rpm, optimising the balance between cooling performance and noise level according to the current processor load.
Key features of the FSP Fortron MP7-WA processor cooler
- Dual-tower, dual-fan design delivers high cooling performance
- Six copper heatpipes efficiently dissipate heat from the processor
- Patented Fluid Dynamic Bearings (FDB) contribute to quiet operation
- Offset heatpipe design creates space for tall memory modules
- Installation is possible without removing the fans
- ARGB lighting can be synchronised with other components
- Supports modern Intel and AMD sockets
Powerful cooling of the FSP Fortron MP7-WA cooler
The dual-tower design with two separate passive blocks and two fans intentionally increases the total surface area for more effective cooling. This arrangement is aimed at processors with high heat output, such as during overclocking. Six copper heatpipes with anti-gravity technology connect directly to the copper base, from where they quickly transfer heat to both aluminium towers. The pair of fans then works in a push-pull configuration to accelerate airflow through the fins.
Quiet operation and RAM compatibility
The fitted fans use patented Fluid Dynamic Bearings (FDB), which reduce operational friction and noise, and extend the component's lifespan. The FSP Fortron MP7-WA cooler uses an asymmetrical, offset heatsink design. This design modification frees up space above the RAM slots, preventing contact with tall RAM modules, including variants with large ARGB lighting. This maintains full compatibility with most motherboards and memory kits.
Easy installation and ARGB lighting of the FSP Fortron MP7-WA cooler
The mounting system enables installation without needing to remove the fans first, which simplifies the entire assembly process. The cooler supports Intel sockets 1200, 1700, and 1851, as well as AMD sockets AM4 and AM5. The integrated addressable ARGB lighting connects to the motherboard via a standard 3-pin 5V connector. This allows you to synchronise lighting effects with other components in the build and control them through the motherboard manufacturer's software.
