The EATON UPS 5P 1550iR 1U provides reliable line-interactive power protection for rack-mounted servers, network devices and storage systems. With a power rating of 1550VA and a real load capacity of 1100W, it can power critical infrastructure. Integrated automatic voltage regulation stabilises network fluctuations without needing to switch to the battery, which saves its lifespan. The output delivers a pure sine wave signal, essential for the smooth operation of sensitive electronics. In the event of a complete power failure, it keeps connected devices running for 4.5 minutes at full load or up to 13 minutes at half load. High efficiency of up to 98% reduces energy consumption and heat generation in the server room. The compact 1U design is intended for installation in a 19" rack.

Topology and performance
This UPS operates in line-interactive mode, which uses automatic voltage regulation to correct both undervoltage and overvoltage without switching to the battery. With high efficiency of up to 98%, it reduces energy loss and operating costs. The output provides a pure sine wave signal, essential for powering sensitive servers and network components.
Battery and protection features
Power is supplied by three maintenance-free 3×12V/9Ah lead-acid batteries, which are easily user-replaceable. Advanced Battery Management (ABM) optimises the charging process and extends their lifespan. The unit supports a cold start function, allowing it to start directly from the batteries without mains power, and protects against deep discharge.
Management and monitoring
USB and RS-232 serial communication ports enable integration into management systems. The equipment also includes a slot for an optional network card, potential-free contacts and a terminal block for remote shutdown. Eaton Intelligent Power Manager and Intelligent Power Protector software handle the management and automation of safe system shutdown.
Connectivity options
Connection to the mains is via a standard IEC C14 input connector. To power connected devices, six IEC C13 output sockets are available. Two included jumper cables allow you to create two independently controlled groups of sockets for load management.
