Dyson Airstrait HT01 Velvet Red/Gold
The Velvet Red/Gold Dyson Airstrait HT01 hair straightener creates a naturally straight style with reduced frizz and flyaways, for a smooth, shiny finish with natural volume. Combining two steps in one – drying and styling – saves you time without compromising on your style or hair health. It maintains hair strength, helps reduce breakage and protects natural shine, leaving hair healthier. The high-resolution colour LCD screen displays airflow and temperature settings for easy reference when styling. Intelligent heat control – glass bead thermistors located in the arms of the machine regulate airflow temperature up to 30 times per second to prevent extreme heat damage and protect your hair’s natural shine. The Dyson Hyperdymium™ motor with 13 blades spins at up to 106,000rpm, propelling 11.9 litres of air per second, generating up to 3.6kPa of air pressure, powerful enough to straighten hair as it dries.

Main functions of the straightener
The Dyson Airstrait HT01 hair straightener allows you to straighten and dry hair simultaneously. Three pre-set temperatures – 80°C, 110°C, and 140°C. Touch-up or refresh your style from dry – style at 120°C, 140°C, or use the optional Boost mode for maximum styling impact. Intuitive airflow – airflow when you need it. The machine recognises when hair is between the arms and automatically drops to low airflow when it's not, for quieter, more efficient styling. Slide the button to lock and unlock the arms of the machine. With the arms locked, you can gently pre-dry hair and create volume from the roots. After three seconds of inactivity, the device will automatically pause. Simply move the machine to restart the airflow.
Portable Residual Current Device
The PRCD (Portable Residual Current Device) is engineered with your safety in mind. Dyson engineers have designed the plug to contain key electronic components – moving them into the plug has reduced the weight and bulk of the machine itself. The plug is currently (2026) Dyson's best solution for enabling a lightweight and compact product that allows for wet-to-dry straightening. Powerful air drying technology for use from wet to dry requires a PRCD plug to test the electrical current for safety. The plugs are on a number of electrical appliances, especially those used near water or water vapour.
