The bass is a bit overdone, but this is easily adjusted with the LF knobs on the back. In fact, the bass shouldn't sound as full and defined as it does in these speakers, and yet it does.
Overall, they are almost perfect monitors. It's a great addition to my home studio.
In this price range, it's probably the best choice.

When the kids are big, I plan to buy the Focal Be 1027 (you can get them for 100k at the second hand store). Or try the cheaper Xavian Ambra stand-ups. New for 77k. Vincent preamplifier and two power monoblocks. So in total about 200k. Now, given the budget, I also use Monitor Audio passive racks with ext. DA converter Cambridge audio and amplifier also CA. Considering all these aspects, Adam Audio is a terrible noisemaker. But really terrible. It has no clarity, no depth, no volume, it's boxes that are just playing at something. Sometimes I have the feeling that the word "cheap to PC" is no longer used, but "studio". Yes it's better than a few hundred dollars' worth, but don't expect miracles. He's trying to produce something like sound, but he can't. It's just a small chipboard box, the sound really isn't that great. I can't even talk about the music. I kept one at least for PC for spoken word, but don't put music in them, you will be disappointed. And I used my external Cambridge Audio DA converter, where it is assumed that the input signal is already of good quality. For me, if you have nothing at home and don't expect anything from these boxes, it's not a bad buy. But if you want quality music, go to the nearest hifi studio. Make an appointment and you will see that you can enjoy music. Yes you will pay at least 40-50k for the basics, but you will be much, much happier for several years. I've put on reviews on the net and tried these Adam Audio ones, how they are supposedly great, clean and who knows what, but it's a terrible noise maker. I give it 3 stars out of 5. It may be for some people, but it is not for quality listening.
