The AXAGON docking station and your laptop connect via a USB-C interface. The docking station's body is made of aluminium. Thanks to the LED indicator, you have an at-a-glance overview of important statuses. The AXAGON HMC-6H4A multiport USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 hub expands your notebook, computer or phone with six ports. You can easily and quickly connect up to four USB devices and an HDMI display to your computer at the same time via the reversible USB-C connector. At the same time, you get the ability to power your notebook using Power Delivery technology. The USB-C hub thus provides you with a simple and compact 6-in-1 docking station for your notebook. The USB hub offers four USB outputs with standard USB-A connectors. The hub can handle the permanent connection of several external drives at the same time. Thanks to the fast USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, the hub's transfer speed is up to 5Gb/s. The USB-C connector is dedicated solely to powering and simultaneously charging phones or notebooks using Power Delivery 3.0 technology with up to 100W of power. You plug a USB-C Power Delivery charger into the hub and connect the hub to your notebook. This also frees up one USB-C port. The prerequisite is a notebook that supports charging from a USB-C port using Power Delivery and a suitable PD charger. A higher surface temperature of the hub is not a defect – the heat generated by the hub's operation is better dissipated and transferred to the surroundings.

For the video output to function, the hub must be plugged into a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alternate Mode (DP Alt Mode) support or a USB-C port with Thunderbolt 3 support. At the same time, support from the device (notebook, phone) and operating system is required. Without this support, the video output function will not be available.
