Tales from the Autopsy Room

Renowned forensic doctor Pavel Toupalík and the princess of Czech crime Kristýna Trpková have joined forces to bring readers closer to what really goes on behind the curtain of the autopsy rooms. What is the job of an expert witness in our country? How much does the reality in Czech autopsy rooms differ from what we see on TV and read in books? Are the floors in the autopsy rooms really as perfectly shiny and clean as on the screens? What was the most brutal act that Paul was called upon to do in his career? Why don't the experts in this field indulge in their proverbial black humour? And which victims, even after more than thirty years of practice and tens of thousands of autopsies performed, are still impossible to get used to?
