Switchblade

You are not born a hero. You must become one.

The fratricidal war between Vener and Manavgat has entered its second decade. The people of both countries have grown accustomed to it, wearily accepting it as a part of their lives, and have slowly forgotten what it was like before.

But Renton doesn't care about the war. After all, he has already fought in it. On both sides. He knows that when you need to disappear, the army is the perfect choice. In the army, you are a nobody, and when you need to flee, you just have to be faster than everyone else. But war has a way of shuffling the cards of fate in the strangest ways.

Renton finds himself in the role of protector to a person whose capture could decide the future of both kingdoms. Unwillingly and unexpectedly, he becomes the centre of attention, with mercenaries, mages, and an entire army on his heels. A run for his life begins, a frantic race that could end the long-standing madness of war.

Just keep going, don't look back, put one foot in front of the other, again and again. Don't stop, don't slow down, don't die.

Gritty action fantasy in the best tradition of novels by David Gemmell and Miroslav Žamboch.
