Sony BDP-S6700B
Immerse yourself in a 3D world in Ultra HD (4K). This Blu-Ray player delivers a razor-sharp image quality from 3D Blu-Ray discs, but can also convert a 2D video to a 3D one, so even your older movie collection gets a new touch. Additionally, the Sony BDP-S6700B provides an upscaling feature, which recalculates Full HD resolution and enhances the detail almost to the quality of Ultra HD. With a quick startup speed of approximately one second, you'll be able to start watching movies almost immediately, while the TRILUMINOS colours, high resolution surround sound codecs and a plethora of smart features are just a cherry on top.
Key features
- Video upscaling to Ultra HD quality + 2D-to-3D conversion
- Vibrant colours (Triluminos)
- Support for high-definition surround sound codecs (DTS-HD, True HD)
- New user-friendly interface
- Control the player with a SideView mobile app
- DLNA streaming in home network + Youtube and other apps
- Mirroring the smartphone screen to your TV
- Powerful WiFi MIMO for high bandwidth
A treat for your eyes
The BDP-S6700B, in combination with a TRILUMINOS TV, deliver faithful onscreen images, where even the finest colours are optimally saturated. The TRILUMINOS technology selectively maps colours across the colour palette to provide a wider spectrum. Shimmering shades of bright red, marine blue and emerald green, which are normally not so accurate on screen, are significantly enhanced, so landscapes and water scenery look much more vivid.
Reliable wireless connection
The player features a dual MIMO WiFi module with maximum signal strength, so there is no reduction in speed, meaning you can stream video in high definition smoothly via DLNA and browse the Internet faster. The state-of-the-art multi-antenna design provides a more stable signal than conventional WiFi.
Real-life image quality
Additionally, you can mirror the display of your mobile phone to the large TV screen via Miracast. Have fun with your family and friends while watching videos or browsing the Internet. You can connect to all Miracast compatible phones.

Sony Corporation is a Japanese company founded in 1946. Its headquarters is located in Tokyo. Its beginnings were humble. The first product sold under the Sony brand was a transistor radio. It was those radios that played a pivotal role in the company's expansion in the 1960s and the world quickly began to associate Sony products with a reliably stellar price-performance ratio.
In the 1970s, Sony was severely affected by the global economic crisis. Many analysts considered the company effectively defunct and could see no future for it. However, they underestimated the famous Japanese perseverance and courage. The crisis was not a disaster for Sony; on the contrary, it served as a launching pad to even greater heights. The company recovered and soon changed the media landscape with the development of the CD and later the DVD. In the early 1990s, Sony achieved another major success with the introduction of the PlayStation gaming console. It is the gaming consoles that best represent the intersection of the three key areas in which the company operates today – electronics, video games, and the entertainment industry.
