Samsung – the pride of South Korea
In South Korea, Samsung Group is regarded as the pride of the nation. Large numbers of South Korea's brightest students are lured to work for this prestigious company. In fact, approximately 25% of Samsung employees have a Ph.D or equivalent. Samsung Group is even partnered with Sungkyunkwan University, a private research university. Samsung Group and its products are vital to the South Korean economy, with many other local businesses relying on their partnership and trade. Samsung Group's products account for 20% of South Korea's total exports, while its revenues are comparable to the GDP of some countries.
