We have been using the brushes for almost three years now. There is nothing to fault the cleaning. It cleans great (even according to the results at the dentist and hygienist) and is quiet. The fundamental problem why we don't buy them again is the failure rate of the batteries. Both toothbrushes were replaced under warranty with new ones. The not-so-funny thing, though, is that the battery problems are starting to reappear. I.e. from time to time the display shows a full charge on the charger, but the brush does not start and outside the charger shows a complete discharge. This is repeated more and more frequently until the cleaning mode is switched to manual. The brush looks perfect, but I've used the app a total of about 3 times as part of my initial enthusiasm and the display is also expendable.

3 years ago I switched from a normal toothbrush to an older model Oral B 1. Now from it to the Oral B iO 6. It's the same difference now as before. I definitely recommend it. I have had the opportunity to try several different types of electric toothbrushes, including sonic, but Oral-B has pleasantly surprised me and has become my preferred choice. While preference may be individual, I personally prefer the Oral-B for its more thorough cleaning and the clean feeling it leaves after each use. Oral-B toothbrushes have an oscillating-rotating motion, which I find more effective than sonic vibration. My teeth are smoother after brushing and I feel that even the hard to reach areas between my teeth are better cleaned. Plus, Oral-B often comes with advanced features like a pressure sensor, which is great if you tend to push too hard when brushing. Although charging can take a little longer and the battery doesn't last as long as some other models, personally this doesn't bother me as it still gives me enough time for multiple days of cleaning. And if the toothbrush is charged overnight, it's no problem. Overall, I rate Oral-B very positively - I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a thorough and effective teeth cleaning!
