Performance Enhanced Auto Focus
68% faster than Z5. The autofocus system has taken a big leap forward in the Z5 series. Leveraging the power of EXPEED 7 and sensitivity down to -10 EV, the camera's autofocus is fast and accurate even after dark. * The Z5II offers advanced multi-object detection including 3D object tracking for superior accuracy. The camera is able to recognize nine different types of objects and also includes a special mode for bird photography.
*Measured in shooting mode using single focus (AF-S), medium focus field and ISO 100 equivalent sensitivity, at 20 °C and with an f/1.2 lens.
Capture every action
With fast burst shooting at up to 30 fps, the camera can capture up to 30 fps. /s and the buffer function before exposure captures the climax of each action, even if it occurs before the shutter button is pressed all the way down. * From still images to motion. Work in AF-A focus mode and you won't have to change focus modes yourself: the camera detects even the slightest movement and automatically switches from AF-S to AF-C focus mode as needed.
*Max. 30 sn. /s. In [C30] High-speed composition recording mode +. JPEG files only, fixed to JPEG [normal] format. When using the high-speed composition + recording mode, the electronic shutter may cause geometric distortion in the image depending on the type of subject and shooting conditions.
Vibration reduction at 7.5 EV
Vibration reduction in the IBIS camera body of up to 7.5 EV is a great help when shooting handheld. It can handle long exposures and ensure sharp capture of fast action and the use of long telephoto lenses. In addition, it ensures sharp objects even at the edges of the image field. For still images, focus-field-oriented vibration reduction is available to stabilize the area around the active focus field. The function works with all NIKKOR Z lenses without vibration reduction and keeps even subjects located at the edges of the image field sharp and blur-free. *
*Focus field-oriented vibration reduction only works in shooting mode and when using a NIKKOR Z lens without built-in vibration reduction. It is also not effective when displaying multiple focus fields.
FX format for maximum creativity
High brightness and versatility plus fast response. Whether you're making the switch from the Z5 or buying a Nikon Z-series mirrorless camera for the first time, the Z5II is a highly satisfying FX format camera. Brilliant and smooth image at optical viewfinder level with the added benefit of being able to see the real-time effects of the selected settings. You get a brilliant preview of the later result before you take the picture.
A versatile helper for portraits and videos
The built-in Picture Control preset adds depth to skin tones and suppresses loss of definition, giving you the perfect base for any retouching. In addition, it offers the function of softening the skin and balancing the appearance by controlling the shade and brightness. Impressive colours, perfectly accurate autofocus and multi-sensor versatility. You can get maximum detail in 4K/30p mode or work at up to 4k/60p (cropped format). And you can also record absolutelysmooth slow-motion sequences in Full HD/120p. The Z5II FX format camera is the first Z-series camera to support N-RAW footage recording directly to an SD memory card! No need for an external VCR or expensive memory cards.
Great cinematic videos
If you want to colour correct the video footage, you can record video in N-log format. High dynamic range preserves more detail in shadows and highlights, providing greater flexibility in post-production. High-resolution zoom extends the range of your lens up to 2x when shooting Full HD video. There is no loss of image quality and the function works in combination with fixed focal length and zoom lenses.

Nikon’s beginnings date back to 1917 in Japan. At first, the company mainly produced lenses - telescopes, binoculars, microscopes and other small, optical equipment. Soon the company expanded its portfolio, producing photographic lenses under the Nikkor brand.
In the field of cameras, particularly among professionals, Nikon quickly gained a reputation as a top manufacturer, which continues today. Its cameras were even included in the equipment of American spacecraft. Nikon designed and produced the legendary Nikon SP 1957, regarded by many as the best camera of all time.
