Knitted with love
A story about dreams, love and the bonds between women
Gertie MacIntyre has always had her head in the clouds, constantly dreaming about what it would be like if she plucked up the courage to leave her small town in the north of Scotland. At the heart of a community where everyone knows everyone else’s business is a knitting club made up of strong, independent, and nosy women who work hard, knit, and support each other. At the centre of the club are Gertie’s mother and grandmother, who live together surrounded by wool in a small cottage by the coast. But a whirlwind of change is coming – a new job at the local airline with her classmate Morag, new friends, and perhaps even a new love. A whole new world is opening up for Gertie. Will she be able to fulfil her dreams in it?
A heart-warming story about knitting, romance, and the bonds between women from the queen of feel-good literature.
