Intel Core i3-8100
Intel introduces the 8th generation of its Intel Core processors, dubbed Coffee Lake. It is similar to the Kaby Lake architecture but it boasts a number of optimizations, giving rise to the Intel Core i3-8100 processor, which delivers improved performance while maintaining minimum power consumption.
Key features
- Quad-core Intel Core i3 Coffee Lake processor
- Processor base frequency up to 3.6GHz
- Performance increase of tens of percents compared to Kaby Lake
- Compatible exclusively with the latest motherboards with the Intel Z370 chipset
- Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 graphics card
- Stock heatsink included
Improved manufacturing technology
Intel's Coffee Lake architecture is also manufactured in the same 14nm process. Intel handles the complicated manufacturing technology flawlessly, ensuring that the Intel Core i3-8100 offers an outstanding price-performance ratio. This processor is the first of Core i3 processors to feature four powerful cores. The CPU's clock speed reaches 3.6GHz.
Intel Core i3 with impressive performance
For faster data access, the processor comes equipped with an 8GB L3 cache, which provides the cores with enough time for a swift response to all applications. The Intel Core i3-8100's properties allow you to fully enjoy your gaming and multimedia experience on your PC build.
Motherboard compatibility
The Intel Coffee Lake platform boasts a number of new features, which is why Intel made a bold move. Even though this processor uses the popular 1151 socket, you will need to get a new mother board — more precisely, a model with the Intel Z370 chipset.
