Key features of the Turtle Beach Afterglow Wave, RGB XBOX/PC gamepad, grey
- The controller includes Hall-Effect triggers with adjustable travel distance
- The lighting system features eight separate RGB lighting zones
- The design has two adjustable buttons on the back
- Users can change the game and chat volume directly on the controller
- The companion Control Hub app is used for button configuration
- The controller body has a laser-etched textured surface
Magnetic Hall-Effect triggers
The triggers use contactless Hall effect technology, which senses position via a magnetic field. This system prevents mechanical wear and tear, providing a consistent response throughout its use. Gamers can set the trigger travel distance to three levels depending on the specific game genre. A short travel is suitable for fast-paced shooters, while the full range helps with precise throttle control in racing games.
Gamepad lighting
The controller features integrated LEDs divided into eight independently adjustable zones. Users have eight preset lighting effects that change colours and brightness intensity. In the companion program, you can create custom colour combinations and transitions for individual zones. The light zones can also glow with a constant colour of the player's choice.
Quick actions with programmable buttons
The underside of the controller features two additional Quick-Action buttons for rapid activation of in-game commands. These can be mapped to any standard button without interrupting your game. This lets players assign important commands to the bottom switches and keep their thumbs on both analogue sticks. Configuration is handled via the utility software.
Audio management
The D-pad is used to directly control the volume and the balance between game audio and chat. Users don't need to open the console's system menu during a match. A separate button serves to instantly mute the microphone of a connected headset. You can plug your audio device directly into the controller's body via the integrated 3.5mm jack.
Customisation in the Control Hub app
You can download the companion Control Hub app for both Xbox consoles and Windows PCs. The program lets you perform detailed stick calibration and adjust trigger sensitivity. The app also serves for hardware diagnostics.
Shaped body and vibration
The construction features an ergonomic design for a comfortable grip during long gaming sessions. The surface of the handles has a laser-etched texture that prevents slipping in your palms. Two built-in vibration motors deliver feedback directly to the player's hands. Impulse triggers react to on-screen events, enhancing your perception of the game environment.
