Fujifilm Fujinon XF 23 mm f/2.8 R WR silver
The natural image of a 23mm lens - the focal length of the very first X-series camera - has been used to create countless everyday masterpieces. Now the compact form and functionality of the original fixed lens has inspired a compact, interchangeable version: XF23mm f/2.8 R WR. Its weather-resistant design, smooth autofocus and high resolution make it a joy to use, and it's barely noticeable when mounted on an X-Series camera body.
Key Features of the Fujifilm Fujinon XF23mm f/2.8 R WR Silver Lens
- Compact and lightweight, ideal for travel and everyday photography
- Weatherproof - usable even in adverse weather conditions
- Smooth and fast autofocus for smooth work
- Beautifully soft and natural background blur (bokeh)
- Easily zoom in on the subject, allowing you to capture details up close
- A natural angle of view that faithfully mimics human vision
- Reliable performance in a variety of scenes - from landscapes to portraits
Portability without compromise
Thanks to advanced manufacturing techniques, the XF23mm f/2.8 R WR is so thin and portable that you'll want to take it with you wherever you go. Its eight-element, six-group design includes two aspherical lenses, yet weighs just 90g and measures just 23mm. However, this compact portability does not affect usability. The knurled ring on the underside of the lens provides a secure grip for easy handling, while the thin space between the aperture and focus ring allows easy adjustment of both settings when composing a shot in the viewfinder. Packed with sophisticated features, this lens provides a stress-free creative experience.
Remarkable every day
While the XF23mm f/2.8 R WR is a new addition to the X mount lens family, it builds on a long history of other 23mm lenses whose origins are also linked to the original X100 fixed lens camera. The XF23mm f/2.8 R WR offers exactly the same viewing angle that is very similar to our own eyesight. and attaches to the XF23mm f/1.4 R LM WR and XF23mm f/2 R WR. It sets new standards for creativity with a lens that combines remarkable compactness with modern optical design to bring clarity and brilliance to every beautiful moment.
Uncompromising quality
Unlike many compact and lightweight lenses, the XF23mm f/2.8 R WR doesn't compromise on image quality. Its dual aspherical lens optical design utilizes advanced manufacturing techniques perfected by the development of G mount lenses and minimizes aberrations from center to edge for superior resolution. With an 11lamel aperture, it also provides beautifully rounded bokeh for smooth and luxurious background blur.
Get closer to what you love
The XF23mm f/2.8 R WR lens lets you get close to the things you love, so you can fill the frame with smiles, flowers, food or any of your favourite moments. By optimizing the input angle that directs light to the image sensor, this lens has a minimum focusing distance of just 20cm, allowing a single group of focusing elements in the lens to deliver consistent autofocus performance and incredible image quality with minimal aberrations at different object distances.
Fast and smooth autofocus
A compact lens that feels almost weightless deserves an autofocus so smooth that you barely notice its operation. Thanks to the construction with eight members in six groups, which includes a separate group of focusing elements, minimal movement is required to focus, allowing the lens' DC motor to deliver consistent autofocus performance at unrivalled speeds.
Ready for anything
Creativity doesn't stop in bad weather, but with the XF23mm f/2.8 R WR you can leave your raincoat at home. Its durable construction is designed to withstand harsh conditions, including humidity and temperatures as low as -10°C. A sun visor is also included for additional protection from bumps and dust. Create with peace of mind, whenever and wherever you wish.
