EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 iCX graphics card is equipped with a patented cooling architecture, which represents a completely different approach to controlling fan speeds. So far, the standard has been only one temperature sensor for the whole printed graphics card connection, but the new EVGA architecture changes this concept. A total of nine sensors adds a much better overview of the current status of the card. A pair of fans works in asynchronous mode, which promises lower speed and lower noise volume compared to synchronous wiring. The left fan's speed is controlled by the graphics chip temperature, but the right fan evaluates the temperature of all the temperature sensors.
