ARTIC Accelero Xtreme 8800

Excellent cooler for NVIDIA 8800 series (G80), which features the very quiet operation and high cooling performance. The cooler is used in aluminum base with copper core, which dissipates heat from the GPU and memory. Use is further Heatpipe technology, which helps even more heat dissipation from the graphics card. Everything is still supported by three 80 mm fans with variable speed. With all the technologies used to cool the temperature of the card up to twenty degrees lower than the reference cooler. The cooler is předaplikovaná high quality thermal compound Arctic Cooling MX-2.

Heatpipe technology is based on the principle of a closed tube, where the "heated" at the end is a liquid with low boiling point, which begins to evaporate, and heating the gas phase rises to the "cooling" end where it condenses on the walls and the tube is returned to liquid state back .When heating liquids, waste heat from the chip is used to change state and then in the form of hot steam goes to the opposite end, which must be cooled to a temperature at which vapor condenses. Unlike conventional Convention thus offers higher efficiency heatpipe technology, heat transfer, but only to a sufficient temperature difference between the two ends of the tube and its correct orientation.
