One device, two functions
With DSL-AC68, users can choose between DSL or Ethernet WAN connection, so it can be used as a DSL modem and wireless router, or as a standalone wireless router. You can choose the usage mode that really suits your needs. This single device can replace two different modems, which would otherwise consume more power and occupy a lot more space on your desk. DSL-AC68 can seamlessly handle both the basic home network environment and advanced wireless networks.
Two processors guarantee fast and stable connection
DSL-AC68 uses two processors, and therefore provides not only high performance but also excellent flexibility. Each of the two processors optimises one type of connection. By separating the cable VDSL/ADSL and wireless network connection into two computing modules - each with their own dedicated processor - the DSL-AC68 router achieves maximum uncompromising performance for both connection types.
AiRadar provides 150% Wi-Fi coverage
ASUS AiRadar intelligently enhances the strength of the router's wireless signal through precise directional signal amplifiers. The DSL-AC68U DSL router uses three externalhigh-gain antennas and technology for universal adaptation of the radiation pattern to detect the location of wireless devices and shapes traffic to achieve the best optimised, fastest, and most stable connection.
Ultra high-speed USB interface
The ASUS DSL-AC68 wireless modem router is equipped with a USB 3.0 port. USB 3.0 offers up to ten times faster data transfer speeds than USB 2.0. There is alsoeasy and fast FTP, HTTP, and UPnP server function management, 3G/4G shared connection, and remote access to files or playable content from a wide variety of compatible devices using the ASUS AiDisk feature.
VPN server and VPN client support
The DSL-AC68U router provides simple VPN serverand VPN clientsetup for secure and private access to the home network or the Internet. With the DSL-AC68 router, you can easily set up a VPN server with PPTP and OpenVPN support, without having to use a paid VPN service or a separate VPN server. DSL-AC68 can also turn your devices connected to the network into VPN clients through PPTP and L2TP protocols without having to install VPN software on each and every device.

The intuitive ASUSWRT user interface allows you to easily perform all activities related to the setup, monitoring and network management in one place. The DSL-AC68U router is equipped with a new chipset with Broadcom 802.11ac 5th generation Wi-Fi technology. Compared to the current 802.11n standard, DSL-AC68 offers speeds of up to 1.3Gb/sec in the 5GHz band, which is three times more than with 802.11n.
