MARS 980 PRO is a gaming SSD with a PCIe 5.0 interface and air cooling for quiet, stable performance. It supports PCIe Gen5 x4 and NVMe 2.0, shines when used with AI, and supports the latest Intel and AMD platforms. The MARS 980 PRO offers sequential read/write speeds of 14000/10000MB/s, which is twice as fast as PCIe Gen4 SSDs and 8× faster than standard Gen3 SSDs. The MARS 980 PRO features a precision-engineered heatsink with aluminium fins and an airflow cavity that separates hot and cold air for optimal ventilation. An integrated turbo fan accelerates heat dissipation, while the unique active cooling system ensures up to 15% lower temperatures compared to fanless designs. With advanced air cooling, the system performs better than ever. The heatsink is pre-installed. Before purchasing, please check the space available for installation. Check if your motherboard is equipped with an M.2 slot heatsink (see your motherboard's user manual). If so, remove the heatsink before installing this product. Carefully selected 232-layer 3D NAND flash memory enables the MARS 980 PRO to reach a capacity of 1TB. This SSD uses a range of data protection and error correction technologies that significantly improve its TBW (Total Bytes Written) rating. The MARS 980 PRO is equipped with an SLC cache and DRAM cache buffer, which provide advantages for system loading and data caching. It offers 4K random read/write speeds of up to 2000K/1650K random IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) for easy multitasking.
Value-added SSD Toolbox for real-time status monitoring
SSD Toolbox ensures that users are using the latest firmware for the best performance. It uses Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) to continuously monitor the health and remaining life of SSDs, as well as the current operating temperature and storage capacity.
