The Verbatim External Slimline Blu-ray writer is powered directly from the USB-C port, which is great because you won't need a power adapter. The external drive also comes with the excellent Nero Burn & Archive application, which makes it easy to organise, burn, and archive your important files.

Fast burning
Burn a standard DVD at 8× speed, a single-layer and dual-layer Blu-ray disc at 6× speed, and a BDXL disc at 4× speed. The Ultra HD 4K Slimline Blu-ray writer supports buffer underrun protection, preventing problems during recording. This is all possible thanks to the modern USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface with a USB-C connector.
Nero Burn & Archive software
The External Slimline Blu-ray writer is compatible with a wide range of optical discs, from 100GB BDXL to a standard 700MB CD. It comes with the award-winning Nero Burn and Archive software (Nero Burn & Archive software is for PC only), which includes a host of special features and technologies like DiscSpan, MediaHome, and SecureDisc to help you successfully organise, burn, and archive your important files. With various streaming options, including the Nero Streaming Player app, you can display films, photos, slideshows, and other media on various devices like smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs. You can even use password protection for added security and an electronic signature so everyone knows the copyright belongs to you.
Save energy
The Blu-ray writer has also been designed to save precious energy. It supports a Zero Power Optical Disc Drive (ODD), which reduces the power consumption of the optical drive in the operating system to zero, saving energy when the drive is not in use.
