I was switching from the Watch6, which I was perfectly happy with, but I like the new model (and it has the rotating lunette again! ) and it was a good price, so I took a chance. I'm not disappointed, it's an evolution, but just as I was disappointed with the sixes, it's similar with the eights. The software updates for the sixes were great, so I suppose that some things will be fine-tuned here as well.

This watch is the first smart watch I have purchased from samsung. From my point of view, it is an absolutely brilliant compromise between the sporty and outdoor look of the galaxy watch ultra and the elegance and classic look that the galaxy watch 6 provided with its rotating lunette, which in my opinion is one of the main aesthetic benefits of this watch. Furthermore, I must appreciate the good ratio between height and diameter, the watch looks very good even though one would expect the opposite. The fluidity of the system and the new health features are rather commonplace for me, so I was not surprised by their smooth functioning. I definitely have to appreciate the probably improved software and heart rate measurement during sports activities, which despite the same hardware provides much more accurate data. It is no different in terms of monitoring sleep phases. Here, the watch is also much better at recognising the phases compared to previous models, making it a step up to the top devices in the industry. One of the few things I would criticize, on the other hand, is the back button setup, specifically in conjunction with the ability to use google wallet. The button is programmed to activate the samsung wallet app when held down and you could quickly make contactless payments. But this is not best if you use google wallet. At that point, even though you set google wallet as your default for contactless payments, you can't use the back button to activate the Google app and you can't program it any other way, you have to use a different button to do that and you lose the ability to take any shortcuts. Overall, the watch makes a very good impression on me and finally a representative of the classic look has returned.

Although it is a larger model, they fit on the hand really well, they do not press anywhere and even after a long time I hardly know about them. The materials are pleasant and the watch looks premium. I like the used rubber strap with imitation leather and stitching. I like the swivel lunette the most - it responds quickly and smoothly, and makes operation intuitive and comfortable. The display is easy to read even in sunlight, it's good. However, the battery life is worse, which is a shame for such a watch. However, this is to the detriment of the wide range of features the watch offers - e.g. heart rate, stress, ECG, sleep, steps, exercise... and everything is clear and works seamlessly. I was also very pleased with the options for customising the dials - there are a large number of styles to choose from, some practical, others downright stylish. You can customize them - what they display, colors, etc. But overall I rate the watch positively - it is beautiful, comfortable, smart. As with older models, more frequent charging is required.
