Transition from S24. It's more nimble and doesn't mind being a little bigger. I'm a casual user, so it's important to me that he kept the min. the standard I was already used to. But we would have welcomed more battery life and magnetic charging right in the phone, even if the phone were to be a bit wider again. It's a shame.

more storage at a better price

I switched after two years from S24 and I can definitely tell the difference. I expected the graphics to be the same when I had the last AI, but I can see the differences, but that's more my personal impression. Some items have been improved, which is pleasing. Also AI features, though I don't use them that often. The bigger storage was important to me and I got it at a discounted price. And I don't mind that it's a little bigger. You get used to it, even though my hands are pretty small.

some of the graphics seem a step backwards to me

There is probably nothing to fault him. The last few years have been all about small steps forward. We'll see how Exynos behaves after prolonged use.

I've been playing with the phone for a few days and here are a few observations from the transition from the S24 to the S26. Smart Switch is a good helper in the Samsung ecosystem when transferring data to a new phone, it will transfer almost everything. You just have to log in again, set up your banking and wallet. Then a couple of Google apps also need to be reinstalled for the Gemini link to work properly, for me it was Google Maps, Keep, Google App and Google Home. I don't know why, but without reinstalling it, Assistant popped up instead of Gemini. Now to the new S26 phone. The OneUI 8.5 body nice, everything is smooth, offers a lot of customization options. The system is stable and so far I haven't encountered any major glitches or bugs. It's a more powerful chip, more storage space compared to the S24, more memory. Galaxy AI inconsistent when English is not available, which I don't understand why, when Swedish is available and they have +/- the same population. It's not that I don't speak English, but in everyday use it's better to communicate in the native language. Bixby is about nothing and why the extra Perplexity I have no idea. What saddens me is the same camera, no progression, and that mentioned charging, that they didn't speed it up a bit also hurts. The lack of magnets doesn't matter, they make the cases with a magnet and that solves it. Battery life is surprisingly good so far. The workmanship, yeah, that's pretty good. Overall an excellent phone, the transition from the S24 doesn't dazzle, on the other hand after transferring data to the new phone you get a mirrored setup, and a familiar environment, which is fine.

I compare with the S23 model in the same base. The battery will last longer, but we will see in 2 years. The display is brighter and easier to read outdoors, glare is almost not visible Photos during the day similar, evening and night better. AI integration good, handles a lot of things, new AI 8.5 is clear and "nicer" Fluidity in apps feels better too - more memory is just noticeable Slight negatives (now compared to competitors) are slower charging and, compared to the S26 Ultra, the lack of Privacy Display
More memory and better price than the S25
Battery life
display, brightness and glare
AI
charging is still slower and only 25W
unnecessary increase in size to 6.3

The Samsung Galaxy S26 is the great compact flagship phone of 2026. The design is almost unchanged, but the bezels are thinner. The display is amazing and very bright. The main plus is the improved Galaxy AI, which now works instantly. The cameras take great pictures even at night. Minus: charging could be faster. I recommend it!

The Samsung Galaxy S26 is a great upgrade from your previous S23. The phone delivers significantly better performance and longer battery life. The S26 has a lighter and thinner design than the S23. The display is brighter and sharper. Alza pleasantly surprised with a fast delivery even before the officially promised date
it's obvious from S23: -)
camera lens too protruding

I am very satisfied with the new Galaxy S26 so far. At first glance I was impressed by the purple colour, which looks even better in real life than in the photos. The phone is pleasantly light and fits perfectly in the hand. In terms of shooting, images are sharp with true-to-life colours, even in low light. The big surprise for me is the AI assistant - functions like summarizing texts or editing photos are real time savers and work very intuitively. For me, a clear choice for anyone looking for a powerful and compact phone.

Super phone. The new Samsung S26 in black absolutely got me! The matte black one looks luxurious and finally every print is not visible on it. The display is incredibly smooth and bright even in the sunlight, a joy to behold. But what shocked me the most is the camera - even at night it shoots clear as a pro. The phone is lightning fast, nothing clicks and the battery can handle my entire busy day just fine. If you want a phone that looks great and does everything right, the S26 is the obvious choice. I recommend it with all ten!

I purchased the phone as a replacement for the Samsung Z Flip 4. Size (as small as possible), reliability (7 years of OS updates and security patches) and Android are important to me, so the Samsung Galaxy S26 was a fairly obvious choice. The phone feels good in the hand, it is "balanced", yet I would have preferred an even smaller size. The 120 Hz display is smooth and the response is instantaneous. Photos in natural light are sharp and colours look natural. The quality in artificial light is worse (a bit grainy), but it's still a big improvement over my previous phone. It might help to play around with the camera settings a bit. The battery life is perfectly adequate for me. With my undemanding use, it lasts a few days.
7 years of operating system updates and security patches
display refresh rate
camera (especially in daylight)
Battery life
Dimensions (in relation to market offer)
holds well in one hand, can be operated with one hand
Photos in artificial/low light - a bit grainy
the camera is quite protruding on the back of the phone (I assume it will require some protection)
