Regarding its use let's say quite satisfied BUT, knowing the negatives described above, I would rather buy the cheapest model of the MG5xxx or MG7xxx series and I would definitely be more satisfied. Specifically for the purchased variant Philips MG7940/15 I am not completely satisfied with the price/performance ratio "better" adjustable attachments, e.g. 1-3mm in 0.2mm increments is very noisy and I prefer to use separate fixed attachments of 1, 2 and 3mm (from an earlier model)
proven quality - I have been using for years (previous model MG5xxx)
I regularly use it without problems to trim my beard and occasionally on my hair
the comprehensive accessories are the same as the older 5xxx and 7xxx series (maybe even 3xxx), but this is not mentioned in the description - so I have most of the attachments 2x (you can't buy the device itself without the attachments)
the new attachments with variable shortening length are unfortunately very noisy (due to the vibration of the machine the plastic attachment with moving parts is crushed) the fixed size attachments are much quieter
