Recording quality in a given price range
The camera works for a while without any problems, but the moment you need to download some footage, you find that the camera hasn't recorded for a few days. It just switches on, the lights are on, but basically it just takes a photo when it starts and that's the end of the ride recording.
Completely useless app

I guess I'll start with the fact that the camera looks like a Chinese knockoff for a few crowns, the plastics are light and don't look solid. Immediately after the first connection, the camera started to reboot, only after replacing the cable I found that instead of the included cable works my cable from the iPhone, another USB C but again did not work. My camera turned off several times in an hour, and it also turned on when it was already packed in the box and no one was touching it. The app is more of a mockery, the connection to the PC ( Via PC mode ) didn't work for me at all and the footage can't be played back on the camera. My GPS didn't work either, it only registered some signal when I put the camera to an open window. I also found that the camera overheats quite a bit, both at home and in the car, and it only did classic recording. Also as I don't know why it doesn't have a classic battery in it at its size that could power the camera during night or surges. The last thing is probably just a tutorial that gives you all the QR codes for the app, but not how to set up the basic stuff or how the buttons work. I definitely do not recommend the camera, after about 2 hours I packed it nicely and returned it to Alza.

The first impression was good - the installation eventually went well, although the lack of a working QR code with instructions on the box was a bit disappointing. The camera records decently, it serves well on the road, but it is a cheaper plastic, probably like most similar products. The app's main weakness - wifi crashes frequently, video capture is zero, and even once it deleted all my videos due to a camera SW update. The connection to the camera via phone does not work reliably, so the live preview is more of an illusion, you can't rely on it. If you want basic recording, OK. Maybe even on fake features like radar and recommended speed. But for anything more, it's better to ignore the app and use the SD card.

After longer testing I can say that the camera pleasantly surprised me mainly by the quality of the recording. The video is crisp and smooth day and night, which is key for me. The 4K resolution and wide view are quite sufficient for everyday driving. The GPS works reliably and accurately displays the speed. The app was occasionally buggy, but offers a useful live preview. The radar database is missing, which is a shame because of the GPS module. The menu is all in Czech and the controls are intuitive. The camera is super well made. I recommend to buy a Smart Box Max to record even when the car is turned off, the installation is a bit longer but it is definitely worth it. After 2 weeks of use I can say that the Navitel RS985 GPS has met expectations, although the beginning was not without problems. I really appreciate features like lane departure warning or pedestrian alerts - they work reliably. The front camera has a very good view - it captures the full width of the road and the number plates are legible even at a greater distance. The GPS is accurate, as is customary with Navitel. The display is easy to read without obstructing the view. The original power cord caused problems (the camera kept turning off and on), but after replacing it with another cord it works flawlessly. I also got a Smart Box Max, which I hope will solve the problem permanently. The cable to the rear camera was long enough for a station wagon. But the rear camera does not stick to the glass at all - despite cleaning and using the included 3M stickers. Eventually, I'll have it professionally reattached. Summary: quality camera with excellent features and image, but minor installation problems. I recommend it despite a few flies.
