Powerful cooling for stable operation
The board uses an extended cooling system with enlarged heatsinks, which increase the surface area for heat dissipation and maintain stable performance even under heavy loads. The power modules are covered by a massive VRM heatsink that dissipates heat from the upper MOSFETs, while 7W/mK thermal pads and additional choke pads ensure stability when all cores are fully loaded. M.2 Shield Frozr technology protects M.2 SSDs from overheating and guarantees their performance. The chipset heatsink is designed to minimise dust build-up and noise while maintaining high heat dissipation efficiency. The board is optimised for water cooling with a dedicated water pump pin header supporting up to 3A, which gives you full control of the pump speed, and a clearly marked keep-out-zone for easy installation.
Power system and storage
The optimised design of the six-layer PCB with copper layers provides higher bandwidth and faster transfer speeds, which also improves signal transmission reliability throughout the circuit. The 12+1+1 phase power solution with Duet Rail Power System and P-PAK components ensures high and stable performance. The combination of dual power connectors (8-pin + 4-pin) and Core Boost technology prepares the board for demanding loads. The board supports storage with two M.2 slots with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, providing transfer speeds of up to 64GB/s, and four SATA III connectors with a speed of 6Gb/s. MSI Steel Armor technology reinforces the PCIe x16 slot with additional solder points and securely supports the weight of even heavy graphics cards.
