Uncompromising Speed
The device combines the best interface in its class with a Seagate hard drive and delivers an excellent speed of up to 220MB/sec. High speeds and its huge capacity make LaCie d2 the perfect solution for storing large files or archiving projects.
Innovative Design
The device is designed for reliability and usability for professionals. The case is made of a single sheet of aluminium, making it unusually strong, durable and premium-quality.
Advanced Cooling System
The all-aluminium unibody cover effectively dissipates heat from individual components and the integrated damping base expands the surface of the cover to provide more heat removal. The result is a long service life and ultra-quiet operation without vibrations.
External Hybrid Storage
Install the optional LaCie d2 SSD Upgrade (sold separately), and your device will reach up to 5 times higher data transfer rate of 1150MB/sec. This is better than internal SSDs on your PC or Mac. Simply remove the LaCie d2 rear panel, install the upgrade, and get 128GB in SSD storage.
Automatic Backup
The device is equipped with several features for tracking drives, preventing unauthorised access, and easy backup of your data.
Password Protection
The LaCie Private-Public app supports 256-bit encryption and thus ensures that your files are completely confidential.
Energy-Saving
Pressing the power button, you will turn the device on/off without interrupting the chaining to save energy.
