The Intel Core i7-10700KF Comet Lake CPU is a good choice for PCs used for performance-intensive work tasks, graphic software, video editing, or gaming. and enough processing power for smooth running of your PC courtesy to its clock speed. If needed, this processor will automatically overclock to 5,1 GHz, briefly increasing your PC performance. The so-called memory cache of the processor features a capacity of 16 MB if it's an L3 cache. The processor uses 14 nm manufacturing technology, which is why it ranks among the most commonly used chips available.

Intel Core i7-10700KF CPU Overclocking Options
The CPU utilises automatic overclocking to manage processing load and the overall power draw. Under heavy load, the CPU will automatically raise the clock speed to reach 5,1 GHz. The Intel Core i7 Comet Lake CPU enables you to fairly easily regulate the base clock speed also using manual overclocking. It has an unlocked multiplier for it and can put up with higher processing requirements. However, overclocking causes a rise in TDP, which for the Intel Core i7-10700KF CPU makes 125 W.
What Else Can the Intel Core i7-10700KF CPU Do?
Professionals will be thrilled by the Hyper-Threading technology on the CPU, which can partition one physical core into two virtual ones, noticeably improving the speed of parallel processing. In short, it simulates multiple processor cores using individual threads. The Intel Core i7-10700KF CPU also includes virtualisation, which is an amazing thing to have. It enables you to simulate multiple virtual PCs on a single physical machine, for instance with the XEN software.
Generally, the higher the number, the more powerful the processor. For an office PC, a basic processor series will be more than sufficient, but for more challenging work and gaming you will require a more advanced processor.

The supported memory type indicates which operating memory the processor can work with without problems. In practice, this primarily means the generation of modules - the most common today are DDR4 and the more modern DDR5. Each processor has precise limits, so if you try to insert a different type, the computer won't find the memory at all and won't start up.
The maximum number of channels expresses how many separate paths the processor can divide the communication with the RAM into. Most common home computers operate with two channels, so it is ideal to install two identical memory modules to double the speed. If the processor offers a dual-channel connection, it pays to always fit memory in pairs; otherwise, unused channels remain "empty" and performance is reduced.
Generally speaking, the newer the technology, the more powerful processor, more fuel efficient and offers more possibilities for use. Currently, the best selling is the 22nm technology, however there...
