The Fractal Design Define 7 Dark TG PC case is designed for E-ATX motherboards and features a dark tempered glass side panel. The construction uses industrial sound-dampening to reduce the operating noise of components. The modular interior allows for two configurations: an open layout for increased airflow or a storage layout with capacity for a larger number of disk drives. The chassis supports the installation of radiators up to 420mm in length and water cooling circuits. The top panel is fully removable to simplify installation. A cable management system is integrated into the case's construction.

Construction and chassis access
The chassis uses industrially sound-dampened steel combined with a dark-tinted tempered glass side panel. The anodised aluminium front panel uses reversible hinges with a magnetic latch for convenient access to filters and drives. The top section of the case can be completely removed, which significantly simplifies motherboard installation and cable routing throughout the interior.
Flexible interior layout
The interior supports two different layouts to maximise space. The default Open Layout provides ample room for E-ATX motherboards up to 285mm wide and extensive water cooling. The alternative Storage Layout increases hard drive capacity at the expense of reservoir space. Switching between configurations is done by moving the internal partitions.
Cooling system and control
The system includes three pre-installed 140mm Dynamic X2 GP-14 fans, ensuring effective airflow right out of the box. The total chassis capacity is nine positions for 120mm or 140mm fans. Fan speed management is simplified by the ultra-slim Nexus+ 2 hub, which unifies the control of up to three PWM and six 3-pin fans.
Drive installation options
The package includes six universal drive brackets, and up to fourteen HDDs can be fitted in the Storage Layout. Two dedicated SSD brackets are complemented by a versatile Multibracket, which converts an unused fan position into a solid mount for a drive or a water-cooling pump. The hard drive cages have damping pads to eliminate vibrations.
Connectivity and maintenance
The front panel offers a rich selection of connections including five USB ports, one of which is a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with a throughput of up to 20 Gb/s. High-airflow dust filters are located on the top, front and bottom of the case. The 30mm space behind the motherboard includes integrated guides and velcro straps for neat cable management.
