Ubiquiti Uni is a powerful tri-band network device with Wi-Fi 7 support, which achieves high wireless transmission speeds. The manufacturer designed this device for fixed wall mounting, and the design supports interior integration thanks to the option of using an optional paintable cover. The device uses three separate frequency bands for optimal data flow distribution in busy areas. This access point reliably serves a high number of simultaneously connected client stations in demanding corporate and home environments where high throughput and low signal latency are required.
The device operates in three frequency bands with support for 802.11n, 802.11ac, 802.11ax and 802.11be standards. In the 6GHz band, it reaches speeds of up to 5800Mb/s, in the 5GHz band it provides 4300Mb/s, and in the 2.4GHz band it offers 688Mb/s. MU-MIMO technology in a 2×2 configuration on all three bands ensures efficient data transmission to multiple devices simultaneously. A total of six spatial streams significantly increases the overall capacity of the wireless network and reduces latency.
This access point covers an area of up to 140m² and allows for easy network expansion using Wi-Fi Mesh technology. The system supports fast roaming according to 802.11r, 802.11v and 802.11k standards for a seamless transition of devices between access points. The hardware capacity enables a stable connection for more than 300 client devices without any performance degradation. The entire network can be operated under a single name for user convenience.
The security of transmitted data is ensured by modern WPA-PSK, WPA-Enterprise and WPA3 encryption protocols. The device enables guest and individual client device isolation to prevent unauthorised access to the local network. The device also supports Private Pre-Shared Keys (PPSK) and user authentication via a captive portal with the option to generate access vouchers.
The 15×10.3×3.6cm chassis, weighing 580g, is made of polycarbonate and aluminium, which ensures mechanical durability at operating temperatures from -30 to 60°C. The device includes one 2.5Gb/s RJ45 Ethernet port, which serves as an uplink interface for connecting to the local network. It is powered exclusively via active PoE+ according to the 802.3at standard with a supported voltage range from 44 to 57V, with a power consumption of 22W.
