Ubiquiti LAP-GPS-EU

Ubiquiti LAP-GPS-EU
The Ubiquiti LAP-GPS-EU WiFi antenna is an outdoor sector access point for the 5GHz frequency band. It supports the 802.11ac (WiFi 5) standard and uses airMAX AC technology to achieve high transfer speeds of 301 to 500Mbps. The dual-polarised directional antenna has a gain of 17dBi and a beam angle of 65°. It operates with a transmission power of 25dBm and is certified by CE, FCC, IC and Anatel.
Key features of the Ubiquiti LAP-GPS-EU WiFi antenna
- Antenna gain of 17dBi
- IP54 rated construction
- Supports the 802.11ac wireless standard
- Connectivity provided by a single Gigabit LAN port
- Power consumption of 7.1W
- The device weighs 752g
Outdoor operation of the WiFi antenna
The sector access point is designed for outdoor environments, and its construction has an IP54 rating. The device functions in a temperature range of -40 to 70°C and can handle non-condensing ambient humidity from 5 to 95%. The integrated directional antenna transmits a signal with a 65° beam angle. Its mechanical design withstands a wind load of 77N at speeds of 200km/h.
GPS synchronisation
The unit includes an integrated GPS receiver for precise broadcast synchronisation with other access points in the network. This system prevents mutual channel interference and increases the efficiency of the available frequency band. GPS synchronisation helps stabilise the wireless connection when deploying multiple units on a single mast. The device also uses frequency offset and the Discovery protocol for these purposes.
WiFi antenna performance
The device uses the airMAX AC protocol for TDMA multiplexing, which allocates time slots to individual client stations. The real data throughput is over 450Mbps at a WiFi transfer speed of 56.25MB/s. Wireless transmission operates in the 5GHz band with support for the WiFi 5 standard and channel widths of 30, 50, or 60MHz. The integrated Quality of Service (QoS) management system classifies packets into high, medium, and low priority levels according to WMM.
Construction and durability
Weighing 0.752kg, the construction can handle adverse weather conditions. The aerodynamic body shape (361×125×71mm) reduces air resistance in poor weather. The design can withstand winds of up to 200km/h, with a wind load of 77N. The device meets the ETSI300-019-1.4 standards for shock and vibration resistance and is fully NDAA compliant.
Power and connectivity
A single Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port provides a wired connection to the local network. Power is supplied via passive PoE, using two pairs of wires with support for a voltage range of 20 to 27V DC. A Gigabit PoE adapter with an output voltage of 24V and a current of 0.3A is included in the package. The device's power consumption is 7.1W. Network features include a DHCP server, routing, bridging, SNMP, and the Ping Watchdog diagnostic tool.
