The Technics SL-100CEG-K turntable with its coreless, single-rotor, direct-drive motor is optimally tuned to maintain rotational speed with high precision and capture signals from the record. The inertia of the two-layer platter, where the vinyl record is placed, is used for optimal motor control. A damping rubber layer covers the entire rear surface to eliminate unwanted resonance in the die-cast aluminium platter, so you don't have to worry about speed fluctuations. The turntable uses a universal S-shaped tonearm. By using a high-precision bearing with the same gimbal suspension structure and machined housing as the SL-1200 series, it achieves high initial sensitivity. The die-cast aluminium cabinet is rigidly integrated with a special material consisting of a mixture of ABS and glass fibre to create a superior two-layer construction. A combination of a spring and rubber is used for insulation, providing optimal vibration damping properties.

A cartridge for true music lovers
The SL-100CEG-K comes equipped with an Audio-Technica AT-VM95C cartridge, which lets you listen to your favourite tunes in high fidelity with minimal need for further setup. The tonearm height can be easily adjusted within a 6mm range, allowing the use of a wide variety of cartridges.
Auto-lifter protects against record and stylus wear
Whenever the tonearm reaches the end of the record, the auto-lifter function automatically raises the cartridge. This prevents unnecessary wear on your precious vinyl records and stylus. By integrating the auto-lifter into the base of the tonearm, the impact on the tonearm itself is minimal. Thanks to the simple design, which doesn't require a motor, there are no electrical or vibrational impacts, and the movement of the tonearm is not impeded.
