SMLIGHT SLZB-06 MG26U

SMLIGHT SLZB-06 MG26U
The SMLIGHT SLZB-06 MG26U bridge acts as a coordinator for Zigbee 3.0 and Thread wireless networks in smart home systems. This network device connects end sensors and actuators to control platforms via a stable 100Mb/s Ethernet connection. Its design with an integrated PoE power module eliminates the need for power adapters at the installation site, simplifying the entire installation in utility rooms. The device is protected by a durable, ventilated ABS housing.
Key features of the SMLIGHT SLZB-06 MG26U bridge
- Silicon Labs EFR32MG26 wireless radio with up to +20dBm transmit power
- 100Mb/s Ethernet network interface provides a stable connection to your local network
- Powered via 48V PoE or USB-C connector
- Triple radio configuration combines Zigbee, Thread, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth protocols
- SLZB-OS operating system offers a clear web interface for diagnostics
- USB Passthrough mode provides remote connection for USB devices over LAN

Wireless technology with a Silicon Labs chip
At the heart of the wireless section is the Silicon Labs EFR32MG26 radio, which operates with a transmit power of up to +20dBm. This chip ensures reliable communication and a stable mesh network, even in spaces with many obstacles like multi-storey houses or offices. The external 5dB gain antenna significantly extends the signal range to individual household elements and increases the overall stability of the wireless network.
Hardware architecture
The device's architecture uses a combination of two main processors for optimal load balancing. While the Silicon Labs chip handles the Zigbee and Thread protocols, the auxiliary ESP32-S3 processor takes care of the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection. This hardware configuration reduces the risk of overload when multiple wireless standards are operating simultaneously.
Advanced SLZB-OS operating system
The device runs on specialised firmware that gives the user complete management via a web interface. In this environment, you can monitor system logs, perform detailed network diagnostics, and change security settings. Firmware updates are carried out conveniently over-the-air using the integrated OTA function directly from the administration panel.
Flexible power and integration options
You can power the unit either with standard 48V via an Ethernet cable with PoE technology, or through the USB-C connector. Power consumption is up to 1.5W when both radio modules are under load. The local API and integration via the MQTT protocol ensure a fast response without depending on third-party cloud services.
Remote USB connection over a LAN network
A useful feature is the USB Passthrough mode, which lets you share connected USB devices over the local Ethernet network. This mode enables you to place the control server in a technical rack, while installing the coordinator itself in the location with the best radio coverage. Such an installation prevents unwanted interference from other electrical devices.
