Powerful power delivery and cooling
The board uses a 16+2+1 phase power delivery system with 55A per phase, complemented by two 8-pin CPU power connectors. This system supplies stable power even for high-performance processors. It includes Cooling Armour for the VRM, M.2 slots and chipset, which effectively dissipates heat and keeps components at optimal operating temperatures. The board also offers five fan connectors with PWM regulation for flexible cooling configurations.
Memory and fast storage
The platform supports DDR5 memory with speeds up to 8400MHz (OC) in four DIMM slots, with a total capacity of up to 256GB (4×64GB). For the graphics card, it offers a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot. You can connect storage via three M.2 slots, one of which supports the PCIe 5.0 standard and two support PCIe 4.0. It also offers four SATA III ports for connecting additional drives.
Network connectivity
For network connections, there's a 5Gbps Realtek RTL8126 LAN port and a Wi-Fi 7 (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, 2.4/5/6GHz) wireless module. This standard operates on the 2.4, 5, and 6GHz bands, delivering higher throughput and lower latency for online gaming and streaming. The rear panel includes a versatile USB 4.0 Type-C port with a speed of 40Gbps, which handles data transfer, video via DisplayPort Alt mode, and device charging with 15W of power. USB 3.2 ports and internal headers are also included.
Practical features and clean audio
Audio is handled by the 7.1-channel Realtek ALC897 HD Audio codec. PURE Sound Card Shielding technology isolates the audio circuitry from electromagnetic interference, contributing to a cleaner sound. To make system building and diagnostics easier, the Sapphire Pure X870A motherboard with WiFi 7 integrates several practical elements. Assembly is simplified by the pre-installed I/O panel and the One-click Flash BIOS button for updating the firmware without a CPU installed. The diagnostic Debug LED indicates the status of key components (CPU, DRAM, GPU, Boot).
