My 10 year old cooling pad cost three hundred at the time and is quieter, more powerful, more ergonomic and has a USB hub. I bought a cheap Evolveo cooling pad in the end and it works significantly better, really cools and doesn't get in the way of use. I'll be returning this one. For the Legion 16", the pad has too massive stops that get in the way, and then you need to attach an external keyboard. Anyway, this notebook doesn't get cold, the 5°C difference is imperceptible. The lack of USB is incomprehensible to me, cheap pads normally have it.

The backlight is not visible, but it shines through from the sides - piggybacking on the external monitor.
