I've been using Tapo cameras for 6 years, I have 12 of them, and this 4k camera takes the image, both day and night, back up a level, to the point of surprise. I was a little worried about the Wi-Fi range, which someone in the review described as very poor, fortunately the Wi-Fi range is perfectly fine. I have a Wi-Fi router in my house and the camera is placed outside on a shed that is about 12 meters from the house. Detection of people and cars at 30 meters absolutely flawless, detection of dogs and cats max at 15 meters, at night the distances are half, this is a great result! The older Tapo cameras I have list night vision up to 30 meters, this camera lists 12 meters and sees much farther and better. The camera has been running for a month and no problem, I can only recommend it.

I have already had one camera from TP Link, I complained about it because it went crazy and randomly reported detecting people, but it didn't detect real people at all. It didn't at first, so it was definitely a SW thing. I subsequently bought this camera, mainly for the higher resolution so that the face of the pest would be recognizable in the event of a trespass. The camera fulfils this, with the street lighting we have in front of the house, the footage is colourful and very decent even at night, but the camera is very limited by the imperfect software of the TAPO application. Camera sharing is completely useless because the wife can't even look back at the footage, she only sees a live preview. The app has a patrol option (setting up several different zones), but lacks the ability to set up detection for those zones separately. The facial recognition is such a dud, but I don't mind. It recognizes people in a very strange way, because many times it reports that it has recognized a person, but no longer its movement, or vice versa, the movement is recorded, but it has not recognized the person. But fortunately it doesn't happen that I see footage where movement or a person is marked but nothing is happening on the image, that was the problem with the C310 I advertised. The tapo care service is one of the cheapest when compared to other cloud services for cameras. As a last thing I can definitely appreciate the silent and very fast movement with the ability to turn the camera anywhere. And as a last negative, definitely the WIFI range. The camera often reports that I have to switch to low quality video because it has a weak wifi signal. It is above the doorway about 5 meters from the router.
