I purchased for the back garden where there is virtually no light. The picture is great in terms of colour vision at night, but in pitch black it is understandably grainy and there is NO way to solve this without having to keep the spotlight on all the time. I was expecting there to be an option to set the spotlight to turn on based on some sort of detection, but there isn't, it's either on nonstop or not at all. Higher resolution wouldn't hurt the camera either. The camera angle is absolutely perfect, I compared it with the C560, which has to be filmed to cover the whole garden, this one covers it without shooting sideways. Sharing the camera with another user - my wife - is also a big disadvantage. She can only look at the live camera preview, but she can't see the history at all - the recordings backwards. I don't understand this at all, I have already written to TAPO support as well, but no response. It's a classic case of incorrectly designed detections - it recognizes the person, but not the movement and vice versa, but as I see it, this is generally a problem of all TAPO cameras. Fortunately, these no longer have completely random detections like C310 (which reported motion or people even when nothing moved on the recording). This one reports movement, but doesn't recognize the person.

I recommend using the camera in basic settings - without HDR and LED illumination. When HDR is turned on, the image tends to gray out and definitely doesn't improve. Similarly when you turn on the backlight - the LEDs are too close and also cause the image to gray out, they don't help. On the other hand, the image is very good when the street light is on, if it is shining from the side (for me specifically from a distance of about 15m) the image is significantly better than when observing directly. The backlight causes a bit of a problem. I miss the ability to access the camera settings via some web interface and auxiliary functions - fixed IP, data storage on your own NAS/Cloud, alert emails. But otherwise very good cinematography.
