The device works very briskly, data transfers are reliable. A functional torrent client - it takes nothing from memory - is very hilarious. The Synology Connect remote client works reliably. We use Seagate drives and they work reliably. SHR Raid by Synology allows you to use drives of different capacities while maintaining redundancy (protection).

Synology certainly did not do well to disable the addition of third-party drives. One big minus for me! After 12 years of using Synology systems exclusively, I am disappointed.

Beware that Synology does not allow third-party drives on new models. It can only be occupied by Synology drives. Expect to have to buy expensive Synology drives with the device. Just an NVMe drive with 800GB costs a whopping 8,000 CZK, 8x more than Samsung. I paid another 55,000 crowns for the new drives, which is 3 times more than the cost of the equipment.

The rear USB-C ports are only for connecting Synology expansion drives. They cannot be connected to an external drive with a USB-C cable, for example
