Purchased as a gift for someone who wants a solar charger again (his historic Sandberg has gone to the eternal hunting grounds). I think the description is a bit confusing - both micro USB and USB-C work as input, of course (charging via micro doesn't make sense from a speed perspective if you have a powerful USB-C power supply). I have no illusions about the solar power, but there is a clear indication - when the panel is illuminated, the green LED and when sufficiently illuminated, the status LEDs indicate charging. It certainly takes those announced tens of hours, it's an emergency (but it may save your life somewhere someday). The total distributed power is about 18 W, however, the mobile and tablet somehow meaningfully shared, so charging seemed satisfactory. When I was charging two devices, it got quite noticeably hot (at room temperature, maybe over 40 degrees) and it also whistled quite badly at certain stages of charging - somewhere between 10 - 15 kHz I would say. I take it she was getting a decent lens at that point and was pretty wiped out herself, so I'd turn a blind eye. It probably charges itself really with those 18 W, so about 2 hours (rather slightly more) are realistic. It has a button, but no instructions. Without connection it puts itself to sleep, it can be switched on with 1 press, off with a "double click". I've also tried a (very long) hold, to which it reacts strangely - as if it forgot the charge level and then looks like it's completely discharged when I try to turn it on again and it needs to be wakened with the charger. I.e. not to work in the field where you're relying on PB. I don't know, I don't understand the "function". That's what the star is down for.
