I was upgrading from an older type of Samsung watch and waited for the summer, when the sale of the new Ultra generation was announced. I'm very pleased with the decision to swap the old model for the new one. The watch has newer features, and since I use it not only for sports but also for health monitoring – it's more than sufficient. The battery lasts a lot longer than the original model, and the design is incomparable. Thanks to its robustness, I believe it will last for several years again. Perhaps Samsung could create other supplementary health apps. The processor is fast and so everything runs like clockwork. I don't regret my choice.

I bought the GW Ultra2 watch to replace the original GW Ultra, mainly because of the battery life – the battery on the GW Ultra was a disappointment to me right from when I bought it: with my usage, it realistically lasted one day without a charge. After less than two years of use, I sometimes had to get the charger out during the day as well. The GW Ultra2 promised a battery with a larger capacity and a more efficient chipset, and after the first few days of use, it has met my expectations – it lasts more than 2 days without charging, with some to spare. The larger battery capacity and the same charging power mean a longer charging time. I was pleasantly surprised by the option to set up battery protection, where it only charges to 90 percent (similar to a mobile). The much-discussed design of the watch hasn't really changed much from the previous generation, but I personally like the relatively large square case with a round display, and the watch looks good on my larger wrist. A visible difference is the smaller bezels around the larger display. It feels like the watch 'sits' better on the wrist (despite being slightly heavier): the reason is probably the 'flatter' bottom and lower body. However, because of this, I also had an unpleasant surprise when the Ultra2 refused to charge on an (unbranded) charging stand where the Ultra worked fine. The branded chargers included with the watches work interchangeably. From the perspective of HW functions and basic usage and controls, for my needs, nothing has really changed with the Ultra2 compared to the Ultra: the sensors, buttons, functions, and durability, as well as the logic of the OneUI interface and SW functions (health stats, etc.), look the same from my user point of view. I haven't noticed the advantage of the brighter display yet – there hasn't been a bright enough sunny day. A positive is the strap compatibility: the straps I bought for the Ultra also work with the Ultra2 without any problems.

I switched from the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro to the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and the difference is noticeable. The Ultra2 has a significantly brighter display and is more responsive. The build is more robust, the battery life is better, and the sports features are more detailed. It feels more premium on the wrist and is a reliable partner for both training and everyday life. It's suitable for the office as well as for the outdoors.
Clear and large 1.52" AMOLED display, perfectly readable outdoors, even in the sun
larger battery (800mAh)
Fast response and a smooth system (a noticeable improvement over the Watch 5 Pro)
lovely design
My hand doesn't get sweaty under the strap
The colour of the night mode (red) cannot be changed
Expensive (I'm buying a watch after 4 years)
for the BACK button (bottom) - you can't assign a function to a double press (this is only possible for the HOME + ACTION buttons)
Can't be charged with reverse charging from a phone (Watch 5 Pro could be).
There aren't many protective glass screens for watches available on the market.

Excellent design, they look absolutely great with the metal strap.
Comfortable on the wrist, you barely know they're there.
The battery has great battery life
The display is very easy to read, even in direct sunlight
Great improvement on various features
Together with the Samsung Galaxy S26 and the ring from Samsung, it's brilliant how it all fits together.
I was hesitant about buying it, but after the first day, I'm really, really pleased.
I bought the extra metal strap and it was the right decision, I finally feel like the watch stays put on my wrist. With the previous model, I had a rubber one which was no good, and a leather one which was also no good. The metal one is really well made and is a brilliant fit for the watch.
I don't regret the purchase. Even though they're not the cheapest, I definitely think they're worth the money.
The new siren and emergency call features for the emergency services are brilliant. Top-notch.
I can recommend these to anyone thinking of buying a smartwatch
For me, this is definitely a top product, the price corresponds to the functions, build quality and overall design of the watch.
Overall rating for me is a 10/10. If it were possible, I'd give it 12/10.
I haven't found anything wrong with them yet, but I've only had the watch for a very, very short time.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is a great watch. The display is beautifully bright and easy to read. Brilliant app for swimming and diving. Elegant look. I've only had it for a week and I'm very satisfied. I recommend it.

The Galaxy Watch Ulta 2 is an absolutely brilliant watch. The beautifully bright display is perfectly readable. “Last night I tested it while diving in the pool”, and it's great in the sun too. The overall build quality looks very good, even luxurious. Compared to the older version, I had the Watch 4, it's a huge difference. They are great for sports, as well as everyday wear. The only thing that's missing a little is the rotating bezel, but that's just a matter of getting used to it. I can only recommend it!

A very nice watch, which isn't that different from the previous version. Which, on the other hand, is probably a good thing. The main advantage of the watch was supposed to be a longer battery life. It is longer, but the difference isn't that huge, but maybe it will still 'settle in'.

Compared to the first version, I don't find the battery life that much better. I'll see how it goes.

I was upgrading from the Ultra 1 (2025 refresh) and the battery life surprised me immensely, especially when cycling outdoors. My motivation, besides the battery, was the ability to connect a wattmeter etc. directly to the watch and get much better stats. And since they are thinner than the original generation and the display is slightly larger, I would say they are also much more elegant and I don't even notice them on my wrist.
The new strap is divine (obviously you can buy a different one for the original Ultras too :))
The battery life is superb – I've just been out cycling for about 3 hours – the display was always on, often at full brightness because of the sun, and the battery only went down by about 5–6%.
Screen readability in the sun - oh my god, and that screen is a joy to look at.
Can you connect cycling accessories like a wattmeter etc. directly to the watch?
I feel like the display is a tiny bit less recessed than on previous Ultras - we'll see if it's just as resistant to scratches :)
Not for thin wrists (not my case)

Another very well-designed watch, thinner and lighter than the previous model (you can feel the difference on your wrist). After a week of use, the battery life is much better than the previous model, we'll see over time. The choice of standard strap colours could be better – in my opinion, the olive green isn't a great match, but it's something you get used to. They are very easy to read, even in the sun.

I recently decided to upgrade to the new Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. At first glance, the watch completely captivated me with its display. It's readable in any light conditions, the colours are vibrant, and the overall system responsiveness is incredibly smooth. Compared to my first-generation smartwatch, this is a huge leap forward. Everything works instantly, without the slightest lag, and the smart features within the Samsung ecosystem fit together beautifully. An interesting experience for me was the initial software configuration. You actually need to have three separate applications installed on your phone: Galaxy Wearable for managing the watch, Samsung Health for all the measured data, and Samsung Health Monitor for advanced health functions like ECG or blood pressure monitoring. To be honest, though, the watch does have its weaker points. The most significant one is the battery life. I honestly expected the battery to be better on such a massive and expensive device. Despite these reservations, I'm happy with my purchase.
