I've been looking for a replacement for the five-year-old Samsung S21 and after the unveiling of the Samsung S26 specs, I was pretty disappointed. The last major camera upgrade was with the S22, charging went from 20W to 25W in 5 years. I compared with Xiaomi 17 (better camera, bigger flashlight, up to 100W charging) and Google Pixel 10 Pro (better camera, bigger flashlight, 30W charging). I deliberately left out Apple, even though I like their phones, but I use the Google ecosystem and I don't want to change that. Otherwise, of course, it is still a great phone and a big upgrade for me when moving from the S21, but in my opinion Samsung just overslept for 2026.
