I always replace my Samsung with a new one every year since the S7 series. It seems to me that just this year the scissors between the classic S26 and the S26 Ultra have opened up even more than ever. But even so, after initial testing of the S26, I am extremely satisfied. Sure, the HW cameras have been the same for maybe the fourth year, but still very good photos. Only 25W charging and for Europe again after some time "only" Exynos. But none of that bothers me, because even so, the Samsung S26 is a great and honest piece of hardware. Of course, more will be revealed by longer term use, but for me so far I am very satisfied.

The display is traditionally top notch, super bright and 6.3 inches compared to 6.2 on the S25 I personally appreciate, as well as the 300mah bigger battery. The upgrade from the previous generation isn't worth it, but if you're upgrading from a 3 year old phone like me, it's a great option. Software-wise OK, I'm glad Samsung is reviving Bixby with Perplexity, because the previous version sucked. oneUI suits me personally.
