I guess a vacuum cleaner is great, but only for smooth floors. The brush stops spinning on the carpet and clings to it so mercilessly that it cannot be moved. Even at the lowest power. Now in the winter, as I write this, we bring home a pile of sand and pebbles on our shoes in the hallway - it sucks it all up nicely, and if there's a bigger pebble, there's a "boost" function and it definitely sucks it up. It also pulled the bordello nonsense out of the carpets, even though I had vacuumed with a large vacuum the day before. For me, I definitely recommend it!
