Compared to the Atom 2 model, the improved camera stands out the most, with good photo and video quality. The resolution is sufficient, but the software processing could do with some fine-tuning – especially during backlit shots.
Another improvement is the new batteries with a capacity of 2590mAh. The charging hub can handle 3 batteries and the controller at the same time, but it's supplied without a power source. The bag has well-designed storage spaces, which are also adjustable. The Alza product page displayed a manual for a drone with a controller linked to a mobile phone; after repeated email requests, the correct manual for the PTD 2 controller was sent.
Very stable drone, even in a wind of approx. 6m/s it hovers on the spot like it's glued to the sky
Control is smooth, vertical and horizontal movement can be precisely controlled
The batteries have a higher capacity compared to the Atom 2, you can rely on a half-hour flight even in stronger winds
The camera is significantly better than the Atom 2 – larger sensor and better colour processing – the difference is mainly noticeable in photos
There is a new gimbal cover, combined with the propeller guard - very useful
The charging hub charges but doesn't have a power source; you need to use (buy separately) your own with a high enough power output.
The package contains only 2 pairs (4 pcs) of spare propeller blades; propellers from previous versions cannot be used.
The brightness of the PTD 2 controller display is stated as "up to 900 nits", which is not great in direct sunlight; it could be higher.
