Interested in reviews of PALIT GeForce RTX 5080 GameRock 16G? It got 4.6 out of 5 stars from our customers. Find specific customer reviews of PALIT GeForce RTX 5080 GameRock 16G below. We will appreciate if you also share your experiences with PALIT GeForce RTX 5080 GameRock 16G after purchasing.
After swapping my graphics card from the RTX 4080 to the new RTX 5080, I finally got a chance to properly test the difference in real games and the technologies NVIDIA is pushing forward - most notably DLSS 4 and Frame Generation. The test was run at 3440×1440 (ultrawide) resolution with a Ryzen 7 7700X processor. I've also had experience with the RTX 4090, so I can objectively compare all three cards. The biggest difference I noticed was in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and in the blockbuster game Black Myth: Wukong. Whereas with the RTX 4080, both titles were barely playable on high settings.
With the RTX 5080, everything has changed. With DLSS 4 on "Quality" mode and Frame Generation activated, I got to an amazing 160-200 FPS in Cyberpunk. Wukong, which was jerky on my RTX 4080 with ultra detail, turned into a smooth experience on the RTX 5080. Benchmark measured me up to 167 FPS on ultra details with DLSS Quality + FG. When I turned on DLAA + DLSS 4, I got up to an average 99 FPS (minimum 83, maximum 118), and the game was not only beautiful, but perfectly smooth.
Compared to the RTX 4090, the 5080 doesn't have 24GB of VRAM, but it doesn't really matter in games - even when ray tracing or using the highest textures. For both 1440p and ultrawide resolutions, 16 GB is perfectly sufficient. If an RTX 5080 with 24GB comes out in the future, it will be more for professionals or extreme 4K gamers, not for casual gaming. The performance difference between the 16GB and 24GB versions is likely to be minimal, just a few percent - and certainly not enough to make me regret it.
The main benefits of the RTX 5080 are clear - a huge leap over the RTX 4080, full DLSS 4 support, great power consumption, quiet operation, yet the ability to run the most demanding titles at maximum detail. While the RTX 4080 is already hitting its limits today.
The RTX 5080 is the card gamers have realistically been waiting for. Cyberpunk and Wukong are finally playable without compromise. If you're gaming in 1440p, want ray tracing, maximum image quality and no FPS drops, the RTX 5080 is the best choice in 2025. You don't have to wait for the 24GB version - you've already got the power to take your games a generation further.
Performance jump over RTX 4080
Full DLSS 4 + Frame Generation support
High performance even with DLAA
Low power consumption and lower heating
Quiet operation and better cooling
Sufficient 16 GB VRAM for gaming
Suitable for new games with path tracing
A nice surprise in the package is a mouse pad, stickers and a graphics card support
I didn't have to reinstall Windows, everything went without a clean system install.
Need for a modern platform (PCIE 4/5, powerful CPU)
Huge size of some editions
I'm looking into the other cons: -)
For me the initial setup via HDMI then the display port
After connecting via DisplayPort, the monitor didn't boot up at all - I had to connect it via HDMI first. After installing the drivers and initial setup, everything started working normally and now I'm running via DisplayPort.
The package also includes a mat + stickers. The card has a base BIOS with a power limit of 360W. You can reflash e.g. with the BIOS for ASUS Astral (up to 450W), but in games it is usually not needed.
