I bought the MacBook before Christmas, unpacked it after New Year, activated it and found a dent on the bottom cover under one screw. The very next day I consulted the damage with the service and showroom. According to Alza, it was only possible to make a classic complaint, so I decided not to address the cosmetic defect because I needed to work on the device. But the next day the display started flickering. Obviously a total defective device. I dealt again with the authorized service - recommended to deal with the replacement with Alsa. Instead of replacing it with a new piece, it was sent to a service center. After a phone call alerting them to the dent, they just checked it and said it was OK. The first service took a total of 23 days, so they only replaced the display. After returning the device to the showroom, I showed the dent to the staff. We came to the conclusion that this is definitely not what a new piece should look like. So it was sent to the second service with a request to replace the bottom cover. It's been 18 days again and I still don't have a MacBook. For almost two weeks the laptop has been lying in the workshop with no further movement / update in the order status. Poor QC on the manufacturer's side, poor complaint service from Alza - unnecessary downtime, poor choice of service partner and no effort to speed things up.
