At first I was cranky about the headphones, they just didn't have "the" sound I would expect from KOSS. But the problem wasn't the headphones. It's really important to choose the right size of 'plugs', because otherwise they don't fit well in the ears and the sound is noticeable. I thought I knew the size, but the opposite was true. It took me quite a while to choose between the three sizes (I kept moving them around and trying them on to see how they fit and play) - since then they fit and play perfectly. Having read the previous comments I think that most of the negatives about the sound that are in the reviews have only one thing in common and that is the wrong size of the plugs. Just because the headphones don't fall out of your ears doesn't mean they are properly fitted; -)
