I bought it together with a Samsung 990 PRO 2 TB SSD for the possibility of a quick Time Machine backup (Macbook Pro). It did about 800 GB backup in about half an hour, the speed varied between 30 MB/s for small files to about 2 GB/s for large files. The test copy of the 6 GB Linux installer was almost instantaneous, in less than 2 seconds. We'll see how it works in the long run, but my first impression is very good.
