Overall the boxes are great, a lot of music for little money, sturdy and not cheap looking boxes and most importantly really wooden which raises the sound a level higher than plastic crap

Overall the pros clearly outweigh, I connected the optics to the Sound Blaster Z, wondered for a while why it doesn't play until I turned off Dolby, they only take pure PCM (but it's stereo so no surprise). Then a minor tweak in the control panel and they play beautifully for this category, especially no thump-thump in the bass and they are quiet so no hum (I don't know about the jack connection) and play remarkably balanced for this price, just weaker highs. I believe that a balanced presentation is about the type of connection, I have heard several times the difference in the type of jack/optics connection when through the jack the production was dominated by low frequencies at the expense of the highs and mids. Otherwise, the control is the weakest part - it can be used but it's more about guessing when the diode of the same color just flashes, minimal feedback and even in standby the diode does not turn off just flashes in long intervals. Mainly I was surprised by the emphasis on neutrality of sound and accuracy when playing different genres, it has its flaws but then it could not be so cheap, everything is subordinated to the performance and sound quality and everything else was spared.
for the price of what they were on sale - 2 thousand is nothing to be concerned about.
really solid design, already in your hands you can feel that it is well made, in this category every extra kilo is known, moreover it is interesting that both speakers weigh about the same.
balanced sound - through the optics, I was afraid of overbassing but surprisingly not, it probably has to do with the type of connection where it plays accurately, no dull thumping.
they have BT, although in the older version so it can be considered a plus.

Missed opportunity. Beautiful piece of furniture, nice distorted bass, but totally lacking in treble, forget the triangle. One would expect that nothing can go wrong with heights, but this system proves that it can. In some other review the author mentioned that there is only a capacitor in the system as a band switch, so maybe that could be the problem. Another weakness is the relatively narrow targeting area of the remaining heights. Even though the boxes are angled, it is difficult to hit a space where at least some highs can be heard. The control has no information about the currently set value. You won't even know that you're at max/minimum for both volume, bass and treble. Those boxes are really a shame, if the manufacturer had fine-tuned the heights and controls, they would be a class above.
