I had a mx-4 but it couldn't keep my i9-14900k with icue h150i driver cool, it was flying 50-80°C in idle and 80-100°C under load. Yes it eats and heats the CPU, but the watermaker should give it. I applied this paste, but no change in temperatures. After a couple of days, I found that my temperature dropped significantly, but really quite a lot. And the coolant temperature has risen.
