In my opinion, an overpriced Christmas colour chain that can be controlled remotely by mobile phone instead of a physical controller. In addition, the scheduler does not work from the mobile phone (tested on multiple wifi networks) - notifications arrive, but the chain does not respond most of the time. If you plan to control it only via mobile, I recommend buying the version with a regular controller, which is at least a third cheaper (and hopefully fully functional unlike this piece of junk).

Which is pretty crucial, unfortunately. Even the individual lighting modes are weaker. I would expect more settings - brightness etc. Some of the flickers give the impression of a cheap piece from the 90s. I'd expect some more tasteful modes nowadays.

The first impression was great. Nice colourful cut for the tree. After installing the app, my enthusiasm was gone. The settings are quite limited. I was expecting a brightness setting and arbitrary colors. For colours, however, there is only a small range of colours to choose from. That may not entirely matter. What I'm already missing is the brightness level setting. There is an option in the app, but it doesn't work to change it. I'm still missing the option where the colours would alternate i.e. each diode a different color, but without different transitions, so they just glow. When you set one colour, it works. It's just going to be a software thing, so it's a shame they didn't follow through. I had a bit of a problem connecting to Alexa, but I got it working. The Apple Watch has a control option, it shows the chain, but it's still offline.
